sod the dreaming I just want to sleep

What does the title have to do with this post you ask? Nothing *grin* being a newborn dad I have jokingly used this modification on the "to sleep perchance to dream" line. Amazingly still going strong and still primal. Yesterday was just a little rough as I didn't eat enough (only about 1200 cals) and worked outside for a couple of hours on the yard. I am hoping against hope that the corner has been turned on getting back on track. there seems to have been to many false starts.

To assist I may even be able to ride a few times in the next week. Keep your eyes posted and you will hopefully see some bike routes and rides being posted. Ok let me get back to my coffee (hey it prevents cancer, and Alzheimer's, and can help in weight loss wooooooo, that plus since I gave up soda it is my only source of caffeine heh) peace out peeps


ps sorta weird that the blog bug has caught me again since almost everyone else seems to have quit it.

Day 4

I don't know if its Karma or something but it always surprises me how candy can mysteriously appear when you try to eat healthily. Every where I go there seems to be taffy sitting about. Thankfully no temptation. Kept the fires burning and eating healthily last night. Today (day 4) is going ok but man am I hungry, I had a 5am start at work but means I'm out of here come noon.

Hoping that by the time I weigh in this weekend there is at least a 1 or 2 lb loss.

Food update.

I forget how hard it is to keep yourself in check and monitor your input. Yesterday night was just a little bit rough and I felt I could eat a 18 oz steak 30 mins after dinner. To make matters worse our guests for the week returned home from their dinner with left over pizza. I almost cried but Instead I steeled myself and walked away from the temptation.

Today is going to be the worst day I think. I woke up with a headache and it hasn't left me yet. I am hoping that a couple of Tylenol will help but don't know if its just a slept wrong headache, a no soda headache or a body food intake change headache.

Its for the best however and I am steeled for the task. I don't want to go back to being fat and it the damned rain would stop I would be on the bike as much as I could also. My hope is that this weekend and next week my riding patterns will be a bit different as I am off work. wooooooooooooo.

weight issues

I still continue to have weight issue (as in gaining) and I think I hit a mark yesterday where I may be working on doing something about it. Instead of thinking I know what I am putting in my body, I now know what I am putting in my body. I have started back on sparkpeople to track my intake and its helping. Instead of probably eating 2500-3500 calories and thinking i am good I can now monitor and check myself. Yesterdays intake 1850 cals and 120 carbs. Today so far about 850 cals and 20-30 carbs.

Get weather that I can ride in and I might even be decently well off!!!

Weigh in this morning is 268lbs a gain of 5lbs *sigh*.

Well no riding was done this weekend. Mainly due to crappy weather but also due to illness and trying to declutter the house. I blame watching hoarders as I realize I have the hoarding tendency and have been making sure to get rid of stuff not touched in 5 years *LOL*. That aside I just want to get rid of old stuff we don't use (and sell on craigslist *LOL*).

I am also starting to monitor my caloric intake and trying to stay primal. I need to lose weight and gain muscle strength. Step one eat right. Step two work my lazy ass out. (in between making sure the 2 ladies in my life are pampered enough and know that they is da bomb!!).

Ok gone for now. Think weight is stagnant at 263 but might have gained. Will try update tomorrow.

This weekends ride

Well we went out for a 12 mile ride at the brentwood area greenway. This was the maiden voyage of Jens new Giant Defy 2 (plus upgrades). Overall a nice ride and fun was had by all.

Weigh in is I believe 263lbs and I really need to start monitoring my intake so I know how I am doing. its the continuation of motivation I think.

Time taken was about 55 mins and Speed was about 11-12mph

Weight update

No rides this weekend due to other forces (read Jen sold her Novara Friday *LOL*) but when I weighed in (yesterday about 4pm) I was really surprised to find I was down to 263lbs, it might have been 262 but I am erring on the side of caution *LOL*. Thankfully this is just a temporary respite as Her new bike (bought 1 hr after the old sold) is done and the SRAM Rival groupset is installed (Big Shout out to Stewie at Bike Pedlar). Hopefully this will mean if the mean weather does not appear this weekend we will try go for a ride down in Nashhy-Ville.

Memorial Day Riding

Well hopefully my bike funk is gone and I am getting my ass back in shape. I weighed in this weekend and while it fluctuated I will say the official weigh in is 268 lbs hopefully I will have a loss to report next week (on my trip back down to 232 and beyond).

There were 2 rides this weekend.

On Saturday we waited till later in the day and rode the 20 mile kirkwood route. Wow its been a while, lets say it was harder than it has been for a long time. Just need to keep it up and the legs will return.

Sundays ride was a little less to allow our legs a chance to recover. Really need to get the legs working as Mike who now rides with us is constantly dropping us (damned weight weenie LOL).
